What to Pack in Your Beach Cooler This Weekend
Before we get to the grub list, can we just talk about how freaking cute this beach cooler is?! Gone are the days of bringing only non-perishables for a day in the sand.
Ok, back on topic.
First things first: beach food rules. 1) You can’t bring anything too juicy unless you want sticky sugar arms. 2) You can’t bring anything too crumbly unless you want beach bugs and seagulls swarming your spot. 3) You need stuff that’s actually going to satisfy you vs. making you hungrier.
Here’s a list of ideas that tick all three boxes:
Snacks
Rxbars
Larabars
That’s It bars (pair them with some nuts for balance)
Siete chips + guac
Simple Mills crackers + cheese
Jackson’s Honest sweet potato chips
Apples, bananas, pears
Lunch-y Stuff
Chicken or egg salad + Base Culture bread (grain-free) or Ezekiel bread
Boiled eggs
Turkey + cheese roll ups
Salami + cheese
Cleansing?
Boiled eggs
Sliced veggies + guac
Turkey + avocado mayo rolls
A bag of almonds or macadamias (Trader Joe’s has a good nut selection)
Grilled chicken strips + guac
__________
And of course we didn’t forget clean up and hydration essentials.
A ziplock bag with baby wipes and/or paper towels
A jug of tap water for hand rinsing
Another jug of water for drinking (freeze it the night before if you like cold water)
A garbage bag
What’s in your cooler??
